It is with tremendous regret that we are announcing the sad loss of Lisa Harris, a shift coordinator and key member of our team here at Cedars Care Home.
Lisa had been part of the Cedars family for over six years and was loved and respected by all at the home. Just days before her death she had been presented with the company’s Above & Beyond Award for going the extra mile on behalf of residents and for supporting colleagues. She had been praised by one of the residents’ relatives for her “high standard of care and communication during the lockdown” and for contacting “me on a regular weekly basis by WhatsApp video so I can speak to my father…. it puts a smile on all our faces to be able to see him and know that he’s OK. it really does make our day”. Lisa was also nominated by a manager for going above and beyond in caring for residents during the last difficult few weeks.
She leaves behind husband Marcus, daughters Danielle and Jessica, son Joe and two granddaughters – Ava and baby Grace. Lisa loved spending time with the youngest members of her family. She was also passionately devoted to her dogs.
In paying tribute to Lisa, Cedars’ home manager Victor Zingoni, says: “Lisa was a dear friend. She has been taken from us too soon and we will dearly miss her for her care, her friendship and, above all, her sense of humour and wicked laugh!
“Rest in peace, Lisa, knowing that you’re going to be missed so much by everyone – colleagues, residents and their relatives and, above, all your own family, to whom we offer our sincere condolences.”
