Finance Questions

Weekly fees cover accommodation, daily meals, personal care, access to all home facilities, and participation in the activities programme. Additional services such as hairdressing or certain treatments may incur a separate charge.

Care home fees can be paid privately, with support from the local authority, or through a combination of both. Eligibility for financial assistance will depend on an individual’s personal circumstances.

If a resident experiences financial difficulties, we will do our best to support you. This could include discussing alternative funding options or, where appropriate, moving to a different room within the home. Please speak to our team for guidance.

All fees linked to the Care Agreement end from the date of death. Accommodation charges may be applied for up to ten days afterwards, allowing time for personal belongings to be collected.

If the cost of care exceeds the amount your local council is able to contribute, a third party such as a family member can pay the difference. This is known as a top up fee.

Fees are reviewed on an annual basis, with any changes communicated at least four weeks in advance. The annual fee review usually takes place in April. For more details, please contact our team.
